Entry through the enclosed
porch and foyer invite you to explore the handsome light-filled living and
dining areas before adjourning to the comfort and privacy of your room.
Tastefully decorated to create a mood of long-ago charm and comfort, each
upstairs guest room offers a private bath, fine linens, cable TV, high
speed Internet access, and a mini-refrigerator. In addition, cozy robes, fresh
flowers, homemade cookies and our own special chocolates are provided to ensure
your stay at the Inn is a pleasurable experience. All rooms have
individually controlled air conditioning for the summer months.
Mornings greet you with the
aroma of freshly brewed coffee or a variety of teas placed just outside your
door. Follow that with a trip to the dining room and find your table for two
graced with fine china and fresh flowers, or in warm weather, dine alfresco on the
deck adjoining the dining room. A scrumptious gourmet breakfast is prepared
daily by
your Innkeepers and co-authors of "Two Sisters' Cookbook", Jill Chandler and
Laurie Harrison. Breakfast at the Inn is always a feast for the eyes and the
palate.
After breakfast, stroll the
expansive sun-dappled yard, grab a book from our library and take a rest in the
hammock under the shade of the stately old trees. You may wish to escape to the
privacy of "Grandma's Garden", bordered by the little red barn and surrounded by
lilacs and old plum trees. If all that seems too ambitious, take a cup of coffee
out to our spacious sun deck and just soak in the morning.
Guests often enjoy getting to
know each other and sharing their experiences and/or wines acquired
during their daily excursions. Your hosts are happy to provide a selection of
hors d'eouvres, glasses, and appropriate music for these early evening
gatherings.
